About this product
The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 is a miniature smart dimmer that installs inside the wall box behind your existing switch and turns any lighting circuit into a remotely adjustable one. It works without a neutral wire, which makes it ideal for older wiring in Chisinau apartments and houses where only the live conductor reaches the back box.<br><br>Brightness is controlled using the trailing-edge method, optimal for dimmable LED lamps (up to 150 W), incandescent and halogen lamps (up to 200 W), as well as electronic transformers (up to 200 W) and toroidal transformers (up to 200 VA). The key difference from previous generations is multiprotocol support: alongside 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, the device adds Zigbee 802.15.4 and Matter certification, so it joins Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Home Assistant directly without extra bridges.<br><br>Two switch inputs support classic toggle or momentary push-button control, while overheating and overcurrent protections ensure safe long-term operation.
