• How is the Orb-DIM panel different from the MINI-DIM module?

  The dimming electronics are siblings; the interface differs: the MINI-DIM hides in the box behind your old rocker, while the Orb-DIM puts its own panel with brightness buttons on the wall. Pick the panel if several people adjust brightness by hand every day; pick the module if scenes do the work and the rocker only switches on and off.
• Can I adjust brightness without a phone or account?

  Yes, right on the panel: the upper ring segment raises brightness, the lower one reduces it, the centre button switches the light on and off. A short or long press glides the level smoothly — guests and kids need no app and no account.
• Which bulbs are supported and which are forbidden?

  Official limits: dimmable LEDs up to 200 VA, incandescent and halogen up to 400 W, dimmable electronic transformers up to 200 W. Forbidden: fluorescent lamps, CFLs, LED strips and inductive loads (e.g. fans). For LEDs, check the box for a 'dimmable' marking.
• Why are there two dimming modes and which one should I use?

  Trailing-edge is the default, gentle on modern LED drivers. Leading-edge exists for classic incandescent or halogen fixtures and is officially capped at 100 W. If a bulb is restless at minimum, run auto calibration first, then raise the lower threshold manually in eWeLink.
• What does installation in place of the old switch involve?

  It is electrician work: the old switch comes out entirely, the panel lands on the L, N and O terminals and covers the standard wall position. The manufacturer requires a 2 A MCB or RCBO upstream and copper conductors of 0.75–1.5 mm² only.
• Do I need a hub for Apple Home or Google Home?

  You need the Matter controller of your ecosystem: a HomePod or Apple TV for Apple Home, a Nest Hub for Google Home, an Echo for Alexa, a SmartThings hub or a Home Assistant server. Adding is done by scanning the Matter QR code. Without a controller the panel runs fully through eWeLink over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.
• What does the service button on the device do?

  A short press toggles the light; holding 5 seconds starts pairing mode (active for 10 minutes); 10 seconds runs automatic brightness-range calibration; 15 seconds restores factory settings. The blue LED shows status: two short flashes and one long means pairing, steady on means online.
