How big is the room?
<20 m² → 7-9k BTU; 20-30 m² → 9-12k; 30-45 m² → 12-18k; >45 m² → 18-24k. Under-sized BTU = compressor running non-stop.

Do you want Home Assistant integration?
HA-local-friendly brands: Mitsubishi (via MELCloud + add-on), Daikin (LAN), Toshiba (BRP). Cloud-only — works, but depends on internet.

Zigbee or Wi-Fi thermostat?
Zigbee = local, 2-year battery, direct HA integration. Wi-Fi = easier to set up but depends on router + cloud.

Yes, especially Mitsubishi, Daikin, Toshiba via a local add-on. Large Chinese brands via MQTT + reverse engineering (less stable).
How much does an air purifier consume overnight?
Modern models (Xiaomi, Levoit) draw 5-30 W in sleep mode. Monthly cost ~25-50 MDL at 8 hours/day.
Are Zigbee thermostats enough without central HVAC?
Yes for radiators with TRV valves (Moes BRT, Eurotronic). For multi-split AC, you need the manufacturer's protocol.
