How an idea becomes a working system

Initial conversation
The first phone conversation is free. The specialist clarifies the task, the property type and the renovation stage, explains possible solutions and determines whether a technical visit is needed.

Technical site visit
The specialist studies the wiring, plumbing, heating, ventilation, network, already-installed equipment, the layout and the constraints of a finished renovation.
The visit is paid separately. If the project continues with CasaSmart, its cost is credited toward the total implementation.

Concept and design
We shape the solution: system composition, architecture, preliminary equipment selection, automation scenarios, device placement, required wiring runs and the dashboard logic.
At this stage you get a clear understanding of the solution; the full set of working drawings is delivered under the corresponding contract.

Technical tasks for the execution teams
We prepare clear tasks for the electrician, plumber, heating and ventilation specialists, the interior designer and builders: extra cables, neutral in back-boxes, sensor positions, camera power, gate wiring, equipment zones.
We work with our own team or coordinate your specialists.

Equipment and installation
Equipment is selected for the tasks, the budget and the property architecture — prioritizing local operation, compatibility, stability and future expansion. We never build the system around a single brand.

Integration and automations
We unite lighting, climate, heating, ventilation, security, water and gas, video surveillance, access, gates, curtains, cleaning, appliances and energy monitoring. Automations account for presence, time, temperature, air quality, weather, open windows and family habits.
The core principle: the system runs itself — the user steps in only when they want to.

Interface, launch and training
We build the individual dashboard: rooms, lighting, climate, security, cameras, consumption, scenarios, notifications and family access. At launch we verify the automations, test physical control and train the client.

Full CasaSmart projects are built predominantly on Home Assistant OS, and the core automations run locally — on the server inside the property.
Without internet:

If the central server is temporarily unavailable, critical systems can be controlled physically. How the system behaves during a failure depends on the project architecture and the chosen level of redundancy.

Frequently asked questions about services
Can a smart home be installed after the renovation is done?
Yes. For finished properties we mostly use no-chasing solutions (Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Matter) integrated into the existing wiring. During the technical visit we determine exactly what can be done without touching the finishes.
Do I have to automate the whole property at once?
No. You can start with a single task — leak protection, lighting, climate or a camera — and expand over time. The architecture we design accounts for future expansion.
Does the system work without internet?
Full projects run predominantly on Home Assistant OS, locally. Without internet, lighting, heating and local scenarios keep working and switches keep their physical function; only remote access and cloud-dependent features are lost.
Can I use devices I already bought?
Often, yes. We analyze the existing devices and confirm what can be integrated, what limits local operation and what is worth replacing. Integration feasibility is confirmed after a preliminary check.
Can you work with my electrician and plumber?
Yes. We prepare clear technical tasks for your specialists, consult along the way, verify the wiring preparation, and take over the integration and configuration of the system. Responsibility for third-party work is defined by contract.
How much does a project cost?
The cost depends on the property, the chosen systems, the equipment, the installation and the automation complexity. The preliminary scope is determined after the technical visit and the concept design. The first phone conversation is free; the technical visit is paid separately and credited toward the project if it continues.
How long does implementation take?
Timing depends on the property stage, wiring readiness, the equipment list and the programming scope. It is determined after the survey and the design.
What happens after launch?
After launch, CasaSmart provides warranty support (from 12 months, depending on the equipment and the project) and helps expand the system. Ongoing maintenance terms are defined per project.
