• Can the plug be used in the rain?

  The Outdoor Plug S Gen3 has IP44 protection and a silicone cover, so it withstands water splashes from any direction, but it is not made for immersion or prolonged direct heavy rain. For severe exposure use it under a canopy.
• What maximum power does it support?

  It switches up to 12 A, i.e. 2500 W for a resistive load at 230 V. For motors, pumps or compressors with an inrush peak keep a power margin.
• Does it need a hub?

  No. The Outdoor Plug S Gen3 connects directly to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network without a hub. Bluetooth 4.2 is used only for quick local setup.
• Does it measure energy consumption?

  Yes. It includes a voltmeter, an AC ammeter and power and energy meters, so you see in real time how many watts and kWh the connected appliance uses, straight in the Shelly app.
• Which ecosystems is it compatible with?

  Thanks to Matter and Wi-Fi support it integrates with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and SmartThings, and with Home Assistant for advanced automation. Local scripting is available when Matter is not enabled.
• What socket and plug type does it have?

  It has a CEE 7/7 plug input and one CEE 7/3 (Type-F / Schuko) earthed socket output, in Mocha colour, matching the socket standard used in Moldova.
