About this product
Shelly BLU Door/Window ZB is a compact open-close sensor for a door or window, in a brown finish, that mounts on the sash and frame and reacts to every open-closed change. The magnetic reed contact registers separation, while the G-sensor tells apart the tilt of a turn-and-tilt window, so you also see the vent position.<br><br>The device also measures illuminance and can trigger scenes by light level. It communicates over Zigbee 3.0 alongside Bluetooth 5 LE with BTHome, powered by one CR2032 battery rated up to 5 years.<br><br>Important: as a Zigbee sensor it needs a gateway for the app and cloud - a Shelly BLU Gateway or any Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 or Gen4 (sensors excluded).

No. As a BLU/Zigbee sensor it needs a gateway to reach the Shelly app and cloud: a Shelly BLU Gateway or any Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 or Gen4 device (sensors excluded) acting as a bridge.What battery does it use and how long does it last?
It uses a single 3V CR2032 battery, included in the box. According to Shelly the battery life is up to 5 years, so maintenance is minimal.What can it detect besides open and closed?
