About this product

The real question about an opening sensor is what it does beyond open-close. The Shelly BLU Door/Window answers with three signals at once: a reed switch records the sash state, a G-sensor measures the tilt angle for tilt-and-turn windows, and a light sensor reports the illuminance next to the opening. The body is just 7 mm thick, and the brown finish hides on a dark wooden frame instead of standing out.<br><br>This is a Bluetooth 4.2 device: it does not join Wi-Fi on its own and needs a gateway to reach the Shelly app and cloud — a Shelly BLU Gateway or a compatible Shelly Wi-Fi device with the Bluetooth gateway enabled. Power comes from a single CR2032 battery (included) rated for up to 5 years, and the data is transmitted with AES encryption.
