• Does the Shelly Wave H&T LR need a Z-Wave hub?

  Yes. The sensor does not work on its own and strictly requires a compatible Z-Wave hub or controller, for example Home Assistant with a Z-Wave 800 stick or SmartThings, to be added to the network and to send readings.
• What does the LR (Long Range) version mean?

  LR means Z-Wave Long Range: the sensor communicates in a star topology on the 864 MHz frequency and keeps a link up to 80 m indoors and up to 1000 m in open line of sight, well beyond ordinary Z-Wave mesh.
• Which battery does it use and how long does it last?

  It uses a single 3 V CR123A battery, which is not included in the package. The stated autonomy is up to two years, depending on the configured reporting interval and usage.
• What temperature and humidity ranges does it support?

  The sensor operates in a temperature range of -20 to 40 degrees Celsius and relative humidity of 30 to 70 percent. Reporting thresholds can be tuned through the device parameters.
• Is the transmitted data secured?

  Yes. Z-Wave communication uses Security 2 (S2) with AES-128 encryption, so the temperature and humidity readings are transmitted to your hub in encrypted form.
• Do you offer warranty and support in Moldova?
