• Does the Shelly Wave 1PM need a Z-Wave hub?

  Yes. The module is part of a Z-Wave network and strictly requires a Z-Wave hub or controller, such as Home Assistant with a Z-Wave stick or a SmartThings hub, to be commissioned.
• What maximum load does the relay support?

  The relay switches up to 16A at 240V AC and up to 10A at 30V DC, with overload protection that trips above 16A +10% for more than 5 seconds.
• What Z-Wave frequency does the module use?

  The EU version operates on 868.4 MHz, the Z-Wave frequency used in Europe and recommended for networks in the Republic of Moldova, with an 800 series chip.
• Can it measure energy consumption?

  Yes. The Wave 1PM measures the connected load in watts, useful for tracking the cost of lighting, pumps or heaters.
• What conductor size do the terminals accept?

  The terminals accept conductors of 0.5-1.5 mm2, and the module connects to live and neutral, so installation should be done by a qualified electrician.
• Which platforms is it compatible with?

  As a certified Z-Wave device, it works through a Z-Wave hub with platforms such as Home Assistant and SmartThings, alongside thousands of Z-Wave devices.
