About this product
Shelly Flood Gen4 is a smart water leak sensor that watches at-risk areas through a conductive detection cable. The standard 2 m cable plugs into the device port and extends up to 150 m, so a single sensor covers the kitchen, bathroom, boiler, washing machine or basement along one continuous line.<br><br>When water touches the cable the device triggers a local audible siren (long beep 3.5 s on / 1.5 s off) and instantly sends a Wi-Fi notification to the Shelly app, with no hub required. The Rain Detection mode helps tell rain apart from a genuine leak, handy on windowsills or covered terraces.<br><br>Powered by 4 AA batteries with up to 2 years of runtime, the white IP44 housing measuring 97x76x25 mm mounts on a wall away from direct flooding. The ESP-Shelly-C68F processor with 8 MB memory drives Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ax and Bluetooth 5 LE connectivity for local setup.

A supply hose fails at night; the sensor sounds the siren and pushes an app notification before water reaches the neighbours.
The detection cable is routed under the sink and behind the dishwasher to catch leaks at the connections.
