What does a dry contact output mean?

The relay closes a contact with no voltage of its own, so it does not power the load. You bring a separate source to the controlled circuit, which also allows low-voltage switching.

What is the maximum load per module?

Each Shelly 1 Gen3 switches up to 16A at 240V AC, or 10A at 30V DC. Its own consumption is under 1.2W.

Does it support Matter or Apple Home?

Shelly's official 1 Gen3 documentation does not list Matter or Apple Home. The module integrates with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant via Wi-Fi, MQTT and a local HTTP API.

Can I use the two modules on different supplies?

Yes, each module is wired independently. One can run on 230V AC in the panel while the other runs on 12V or 24-48V DC in a low-voltage circuit, as needed.

About this product

This set contains two identical Shelly 1 Gen3 modules - compact smart Wi-Fi relays with a potential-free (dry contact) output rated up to 16A at 230V. Having two units lets you automate two separate circuits from a single purchase, for example a hallway light and a circulation pump, or two different rooms, without returning to the shop for a second piece.<br><br>Because the output is a dry contact, the module does not impose polarity or voltage on the load and can switch low-voltage equipment too: doorbells, gates, boilers and alarm systems. The supply accepts 110-240V AC as well as 12V or 24-48V DC, so the relay fits residential panels and low-voltage circuits alike.<br><br>Control runs from the Shelly app over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, with Bluetooth used for local setup, plus integration with Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings and Home Assistant. The 37x42x16 mm housing fits inside a wall box, and the second module stays as a spare or for a later expansion.
