The Pill by Shelly is an ultra-compact Gen3 input and output module that runs on just 5V over a USB-C port and weighs around 3 grams. The device turns any wired sensor or low-voltage actuator into a connected part of the smart home over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Three configurable channels let you attach up to five DS18B20 temperature probes or a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor, read 0–2.5V analog voltage, and drive digital inputs and outputs with 3.3V logic. The built-in Bluetooth gateway relays data from Shelly BLU devices, while MQTT, WebSocket and HTTP support opens integration with third-party systems.

The module works with the Shelly app, Home Assistant, Google Home and Amazon Alexa, and supports scripts, schedules and webhooks. Its compact shell fits inside a distribution board or a DIY project enclosure in Chisinau.
