About this product
The Shelly Button Add-on Black is not a smart device on its own but an accessory housing into which a compatible Shelly relay or dimmer is inserted. The core idea: turn any night light, fan or convector into a remotely controlled appliance, with no wall reconstruction and no recessed wall box.<br><br>The accessory has two push-in terminals for the N and L supply at 220-240 V~ 50 Hz and a wired button that actuates the SW input of the host device. In practice the Shelly relay takes the command from the button and switches the load, while Wi-Fi connectivity stays with the host device. The black plastic housing with white print mounts on any surface, beside a bed or on a desk.<br><br>Switching capacity follows the spec of the inserted device: maximum voltage 240 V~ and maximum current 3 A, without exceeding the relay limit. It is a retrofit solution for places where direct in-wall mounting is impractical.
