• Does the Shelly i4 Gen3 switch lights or loads directly?

  No. The i4 Gen3 has no power relay and switches no load; it reads 4 dry inputs and triggers scenes or automations for other devices.
• How many inputs does it have and what actions does it recognise?

  It has 4 inputs (SW1-SW4) and recognises single, double and triple clicks plus long press, as well as detector modes for latching switches.
• Does it need a hub or internet to work?

  No hub is needed. It uses Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 4.2, and local scripts plus MQTT let scenes run even without the internet.
• What power supply and wiring does it need for installation?

  It runs on 110-240 V~ 50/60 Hz and needs a neutral wire in the box; its own consumption is under 1 W.
• Does it fit behind an existing switch?

  Yes. The module measures 37 x 42 x 16 mm and weighs about 19 g, fitting in a standard wall box behind an already-mounted switch.
• Which ecosystems is it compatible with?

  It works with the Shelly app, Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Home Assistant, letting you tie scenes to other Shelly and third-party devices.
