• Does it need a hub or an app?

  No. The GL-RC-006Z is the controller itself: it talks 2.4G RF directly to the Gledopto lights and needs no Zigbee gateway, router or phone app. There is no account and no cloud — you press a button and the light responds, including when the internet is down.
• Which lights can it control?

  It controls Gledopto Pro/Plus-series controllers and bulbs switched into RF mode — LED strips, spots, downlights, floodlights, garden lights and bulbs. It does not control plain Zigbee products that only work through a gateway, nor other brands' fixtures that lack a Gledopto RF mode.
• How do I bind a light to a zone?

  When the fixture (or controller) is first powered you do a short pairing on the zone you want: apply power and, within a few-second window, press the zone key 1–6 on the remote. From then on that zone controls that group of lights; one light can be assigned to several zones if you want overlapping groups.
• Does it work over Wi-Fi? The page says "2.4G WiFi WLAN".

  It does not work over Wi-Fi. That label on some pages is a marketing inaccuracy: the device is a 2.4G RF transmitter (GFSK modulation), confirmed by the FCC filing with ID 2A6ZUGL-RC-006Z. It does not join a router, gets no IP address and never appears on any Wi-Fi network.
• Can I tune colour and white separately?

  Yes. The touch ring picks the RGB colour from 16 million shades with a slide of a finger, while the slide bar adjusts warm-to-cool white (CCT) and brightness. The nine dynamic modes give ready-made effects for each zone individually.
• What batteries does it use and how long do they last?

  It runs on two AAA batteries (3 V). Standby draw is around 15 µA, very low, so a set of batteries lasts a long time under normal home use. The remote works from -20 to 60 °C and has a range of about 30 m in the open.
• How many zones does it have and what is a zone?

  It has 6 zones, reached through the numbered 1–6 keys. A zone is a group of Gledopto lights you control together — for example the whole living-room strip on zone 1, the bedroom on zone 2, the garden on zone 4. That way one remote covers several rooms with no menu-digging.
