About this product
Shelly Gas LPG is a Wi-Fi gas leak detector calibrated for liquefied petroleum gas (propane-butane), made for kitchens running on gas bottles, boiler rooms and spaces that use LPG fuel. The device continuously monitors the gas concentration in the air and raises an alarm at 6% of the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL), well before an explosive mixture can form.<br><br>On detection it triggers the built-in buzzer of at least 70 dB together with LED flashing, and over Wi-Fi it sends an instant push notification to the Shelly app on your phone - so you learn about a leak even when you are away from home. The unit is powered directly from 110-230 V mains (50/60 Hz) and draws less than 3 W, so there are no batteries to monitor.<br><br>The flame-resistant housing measures 89.5 x 89.5 x 38 mm and weighs around 180 g. Shelly Gas LPG works without a hub, connects to a 2.4 GHz home network and integrates with Amazon Alexa as well as third-party systems via MQTT, CoAP and REST API for building safety scenarios.
