• How many buttons does the Shelly BLU RC Button 4 have?

  It has four physical buttons, and each recognises single, double, triple and long presses plus simultaneous combinations, giving many different commands.
• Does it need a gateway or another Shelly device?

  Yes. The button sends commands over Bluetooth to a Shelly Gen2 or newer device with Bluetooth (or a BLU Gateway) that acts as a bridge and runs the scenes.
• What battery does it use and how long does it last?

  It uses a single 3 V CR2032 cell with an estimated life of up to two years in normal use; no power cable or charging is required.
• What is the Bluetooth range?

  Up to 30 m outdoors and up to 10 m indoors depending on obstacles; reinforced-concrete walls in Chisinau flats can shorten the distance.
• Can it be wall-mounted or used as a mobile remote?

  Both. The box includes two magnetic holders, one for a wall back-box and one flat for any smooth surface, and the button weighs just 21 g.
• Is it waterproof for outdoor mounting?

  No, the device has no IP rating and operates from -20 C to 40 C at 30-70% humidity, so it is meant for indoor use away from rain.
