• Do I need a gateway to use Zigbee?

  Yes. The Zigbee 802.15.4 network requires a compatible Shelly gateway (Plus, Gen3, Gen4 or Pro). Without a gateway the button can be controlled only over short-range Bluetooth.
• How many commands can I map to this button?

  The button recognises four press types - single, double, triple and long - via multi-click, so you can set up to four distinct actions from a single key.
• How long does the battery last and what type is it?

  The device uses a single 3V CR2032 cell with an estimated life of up to two years depending on how often it is used.
• Can it be installed in a bathroom or outdoors?

  Yes. With IP54 protection and a -20 to 60 °C operating range, the button withstands splashes, dust and cold, making it suitable for a bathroom, terrace or yard.
• Which smart home systems is it compatible with?

  It works natively with the Shelly Smart Control app and Home Assistant; through a compatible gateway it can also be exposed to Google Home, Apple Home and Alexa.
• How does the Mocha variant differ from the other colours?

  The only difference is the exterior finish - warm brown Mocha (code SBBT-102C-M). The technical specifications are identical to the Black and Ivory variants.
