About this product

The Shelly Pro LoRa Add-on is an expansion board for the Shelly Pro range that adds wireless communication over LoRa technology in the EU868 band (863–870 MHz). The module targets scenarios where ordinary Wi-Fi falls short: remote outbuildings, technical rooms, pump stations, gates and sites without network coverage.<br><br>Communication range reaches up to 5000 m depending on local conditions and terrain. The SMA connector lets you route the supplied antenna outside a metal cabinet or fit a higher-gain antenna for reliable reception. Maximum transmitter power is below 14 dBm and antenna impedance is 50 Ω.<br><br>The module is powered with 3.3 V from a compatible Shelly Pro device and draws under 150 mW, so it does not load the cabinet power supply. Communication is protected by built-in AES-CCM encryption, and support for custom scripts enables flexible automation. It connects through the proprietary Shelly serial interface and mounts on a DIN rail next to the host device.
