• How many circuits can the Shelly Pro EM-50 monitor?

  It monitors two independent circuits on the same phase via the two clamp inputs IA and IB. You can separately measure, for example, household consumption and solar production, or two panels in one Chisinau apartment.
• What is included in the box?

  The box contains one Shelly Pro EM-50 meter, two 50A current clamps and a user guide. Both clamps are already included, so you do not buy them separately.
• Can the Shelly Pro EM-50 control a contactor?

  Yes, it has a built-in 240V 2A relay that drives the coil of an external contactor. For large loads use a suitable contactor; the internal relay does not directly switch the measured 50A currents.
• What network connections does it support?

  It supports Wi-Fi 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and Ethernet via an RJ45 connector, with no separate hub required. In a concrete metering cabinet we recommend Ethernet for stability.
• How accurate is it and is it suitable for billing?

  It offers 1% active-energy accuracy and accuracy class B. It is suitable for internal sub-metering and tenant cost splitting, but it does not replace the utility provider's fiscal meter.
• Does it keep data if the internet drops?

  Yes, the meter stores at least 60 days of data locally at 1-minute resolution and has a real-time clock. The history stays available even if the internet or cloud is temporarily down.
