About this product

Shelly LoRa Add-on x2 is a kit of two modules that mount onto compatible Shelly Gen3 and Gen4 devices (Shelly 1, 1PM, 2PM, Dimmer, EM, Shutter) through Shelly's proprietary serial interface. The two modules form a point-to-point LoRa link on the EU868 band (863-870 MHz), with a range of up to 5000 m depending on local conditions.<br><br>LoRa carries short messages over long distances where Wi-Fi cannot reach: between a house and an outbuilding, a borehole, a gate or a pump at the edge of the plot. Each module draws under 150 mW, is powered with 3.3 V from the host device and communicates over the SheLR protocol with AES encryption.<br><br>This is an accessory, not a stand-alone device: it needs a compatible Shelly host on each end of the link. Fitting it means opening the device enclosure, so we recommend a qualified electrician.
