About this product
The Ecowitt WS90 packs seven weather measurements into one compact outdoor sensor with no exposed moving parts that wear out over time.<br><br>An ultrasonic anemometer reads wind speed and direction from 0 to 40 m/s, while the piezoelectric (haptic) rain gauge logs rainfall by sensing impact vibration, doing away with the classic tipping bucket. The sensor measures temperature from -40 to 60 degrees C, humidity 1-99% RH, UV index 1-15 and light intensity up to 200 Klux.<br><br>A built-in solar panel powers the device, and two AA batteries keep it running through overcast spells. The ASA+PC housing meets IPX5 protection. The WS90 does not work on its own: it needs an Ecowitt gateway or console (GW1100, GW2000, GW3000, WittBoy) to transmit data.
