What it is, who it's for, what it does
About this product
Unlike the Shelly Mini relays, the PM Mini Gen3 switches nothing - its job is to measure. You wire it onto the line you want to watch (a socket circuit, the water heater, the boiler, the oven) using the two L and N screw terminals, and it reports voltage, current and active power straight into the Shelly Smart Control app and the free cloud. At just 29x34x16 mm and 13 g it tucks into a back box even where other modules no longer fit. It handles loads up to 16 A / 240 V (3840 W maximum) and talks over 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth. Consumption history is kept in the cloud, so you can see which circuit costs the most over a month and build automations or threshold alerts around it. As a Gen3 device with 8 MB of memory, it is ready for a later upgrade to Matter.

Can the Shelly PM Mini Gen3 switch a load on or off?
No. It has no relay and only measures voltage, current and power. If you need switching too, choose the 1PM Mini Gen3.What maximum load can it measure?
