About this product
Many apartments in Chisinau were wired without a neutral conductor in the back-box, where ordinary smart modules simply will not start. Shelly 2L Gen3 removes that obstacle: it draws power from the live and the switch loop wire, so no neutral is required.<br><br>The module drives two independent lighting lines: channel O1 handles up to 200 W and channel O2 up to 700 W at 240 V~. For LED lamps on channel O1 a Shelly Bypass 1L/2L Gen3 is wired in parallel with the load to stop flicker and phantom switching.<br><br>Two inputs S1 and S2 reuse your existing rocker or momentary switches, while control runs over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth through the Shelly Smart Control app, local MQTT, scenes and Home Assistant. The device is Matter ready after a firmware update.

The module sits behind a two-gang switch, O1 drives a wall lamp through a Shelly Bypass, O2 the ceiling light.
Control of main and wall-lamp lighting in an older Chisinau flat where the back-box has no neutral wire.
A leaving scene turns off both channels and triggers from the phone geofence.
