About this product
The Shelly 1PM Gen3 is a compact Wi-Fi relay that hides inside the wall box behind a switch or socket and does two jobs at once: it switches a load of up to 16A (240 V~) and continuously measures its energy consumption. The built-in AC voltmeter and ammeter show voltage, current and active power in the Shelly Smart Control app, while the accumulated kWh figure reveals how much a water heater, underfloor heating, pump or lighting circuit really draws. The relay runs over local 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2, has an embedded web interface, scenes, schedules and MQTT for smart-home integration. Memory doubled versus the Plus series (8 MB) leaves headroom for a Matter upgrade. The SW input accepts an ordinary rocker or momentary switch, so manual wall control stays available. Built-in overheating, overvoltage, overcurrent and overpower protection safeguard both the device and the connected line.

Yes. The relay has a built-in AC voltmeter and ammeter and reports voltage, current, active power and accumulated kWh in the Shelly app.What is the maximum load it can switch?
Up to 16A at 240 V~ (or 10A at 30 V DC). For inductive loads leave headroom for the inrush current.Does it need a neutral wire in the box?
Yes. The neutral is required both to power the relay and for energy metering; check that it is present before installation.Does it support Matter and 5 GHz networks?
The device has 8 MB of memory and is upgradable to Matter via firmware. It works only on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, not on the 5 GHz band.Can I keep the physical wall switch?
