What it is, who it's for, what it does
About this product
Shelly 1 Gen4 is the redesigned version of Shelly's universal single-channel relay. The key difference from Gen3 is the radio: built on the new ESP32-C6 processor, the device speaks Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n/ax), Bluetooth 5.0 LE and Zigbee 3.0 at the same time, and is Matter-compatible. That means you can run it through the Shelly cloud or locally inside a Zigbee hub or a Matter ecosystem, without changing hardware. The output is a 16A / 240V~ potential-free (dry) contact on a screw terminal, so it can switch not only lamps and sockets but also contactors, boilers, gates or circuits with their own voltage. Power input accepts 110-240V~ as well as 24-48V DC and 12V DC, and a neutral wire is not required. Consumption is under 1W, with no power metering. Compact 42x37x16 mm body for in-wall box mounting.

Use cases
Detached house near Chisinau: the relay replaces the wired thermostat and fires the boiler from a phone or on schedule.
Drive the boiler start via its thermostat terminals using the 16A dry contact.

What is new in the Shelly 1 Gen4 compared to Gen3?
Gen4 moves to the ESP32-C6 processor and adds Zigbee 3.0 and Matter compatibility on top of the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth that Gen3 already had. The electrical side (16A dry contact) stays the same.What maximum load can it switch?
Up to 16A at 240V~ (AC) and up to 10A at 30V DC. It does not measure power consumption.What does a dry (potential-free) contact mean?
The relay only opens or closes the circuit without supplying voltage on the output. You feed the live or the required voltage to the contact yourself, so it can also control circuits with their own voltage.Does it need a neutral wire to install?
No, a neutral is not mandatory. The module powers from 110-240V~ or from 24-48V DC / 12V DC, which helps with old wiring where the neutral does not reach the switch.Does it work with Apple Home, Google Home and Alexa?
Yes. Being Matter-compatible, it binds into Apple Home, Google Home or Alexa, and via Zigbee 3.0 it can join a local hub. Home Assistant is supported too.Do you offer warranty and delivery in Moldova?
