• Why is it better suited to an office than a PIR?

  At a desk you spend minutes moving only your fingers, and a PIR reads that as absence and switches the light off. The ZSS-LP-HP02 uses a 24GHz radar that reads breathing and micro-movements, so it sees you in the chair even when completely still, and the desk lamp stays on while you work.
• Can I tune the distance zone so it ignores the door?

  Yes — that is the sensor's advantage at a desk. The detection distance is set in steps from the app, so the radar field covers the chair and desk but stops short of the door or corridor behind you. That way someone passing in the hall no longer re-triggers the light for nothing.
• Does it need a Zigbee hub?

  Yes. This is the Zigbee version, and the official Moes page states plainly that "a ZigBee gateway is required for operation". Use a Moes ZHUB or any Tuya Zigbee hub; without one the sensor will not connect to a phone directly and cannot push presence into automations.
• How is it powered and where do I mount it?

  Over USB 5 V / 1 A, drawing just 0.5 W, so you can wire it to a phone charger, the USB port behind a monitor or a power bank. It uses no batteries. The cable makes it easy to place on a shelf, behind a monitor or on a wall, aimed at the chair — no electrician and no holes in the ceiling.
• Why does it react when nobody is in the room?

  As a radar without PIR it is sensitive to any fine movement: curtains in a draught, a ceiling fan, a pet or warm air from a heat source. The fix is to lower the sensitivity and narrow the distance zone in the app until it only reacts to the person at the desk.
• Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?

  The sensor joins the Tuya / Smart Life ecosystem through the gateway and, as a standard Zigbee device, SmartThings too. Alexa and Google Home are not explicitly claimed by Moes for this exact radar model; if you already run the Tuya integration you can try them there. • Does the light threshold really stop it switching on by day?

  Yes. The built-in light sensor reads ambient light across a wide 0–10000 lux range, far broader than ordinary sensors. Set a threshold and the automation turns the desk lamp on only below that level — so the light does not come on at midday by the window, only when it is genuinely dark.
