• Why does it give fewer false triggers than a plain PIR?

  Because it uses two sensors that confirm each other. The PIR reacts to the warm motion of a body, while the 24 GHz mmWave radar reads micro-movements and motionless presence. A lone PIR either drops the light while you sit still or fires it at a curtain or radiator heat; the mmWave + PIR pair wants both signals, so false alarms fall.
• How is it powered — does it really run on batteries?

  Yes. It runs on 2 AAA batteries (LR03), DC 3.3 V, with over 6 months of life at an average current below 65 µA. It needs no socket, no wire and no electrician: you stick it with 3M tape straight to the wall. That is the main difference from mains-powered ceiling presence sensors, which need a 230 V connection.
• Does it need a Zigbee hub?

  Yes. This is the Zigbee 3.0 version of the sensor and it requires a Tuya/Zigbee gateway — for example a Moes ZHUB or any Tuya Zigbee hub, bought separately. The official Moes page states plainly that "the ZigBee version requires a ZigBee gateway." It does not connect to a phone directly and without a hub it cannot push presence states into automations.
• What range and angle does it detect over?

  Motion is caught up to 10 m, and stationary presence (micro-movement) up to 6 m, across a 100°-plus angle. A built-in light sensor reads ambient light over 0–3000 lux so the automatic light does not come on by day. Sensitivity and radar parameters are set in the Tuya / Smart Life app once the sensor is paired to the hub.
• Can I mount it in a bathroom?

  Only with care. The sensor is IP20, so strictly for dry indoor use — in a bathroom you place it only in the dry zone, away from the shower, the tub and steam, and never on a shower-cubicle wall. For a bedroom, a hallway or an office it is a perfect fit; for wet areas or outdoors choose a device with a higher protection rating.
• How does it differ from the ceiling mmWave presence sensor?

  The difference is power and mounting. This ZSS-HP05-A runs on AAA batteries and sticks to a wall anywhere, with no socket and no electrician, which suits a bedroom or a hallway wall. The ceiling version is mains-powered, needs a 230 V connection and gives circular coverage from above. Choose the battery one for fast, flexible mounting, or the ceiling one for a room covered centrally and permanently.
• Does it work with Alexa and Google Home?

  The sensor joins the Tuya / Smart Life ecosystem and also pairs with SmartThings once linked to the Zigbee gateway. The official Moes page does not explicitly list Alexa and Google Home for this model, so we do not promise them as a direct integration — many Tuya devices do reach voice assistants through the Tuya/Smart Life skill, but confirm the exact setup with us before ordering.
