• Does it need another gateway to work?

  No. The MZHUB-MS is the hub itself: it is at once a Zigbee 3.0 coordinator and a Thread border router, plus a Matter controller. It needs no separate Tuya/Zigbee gateway — devices pair straight to it. It connects only by Ethernet cable to your router and is powered over USB Type-C at 5V/1A.
• How do my Tuya devices appear in Apple Home?

  The gateway bridges Tuya Zigbee and Thread devices through Matter, generating a Matter code you enter in Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa or SmartThings. Once paired, the same bulbs, plugs and sensors also show up in Apple Home, with no need to replace your existing gear.
• How is it different from the cheaper Zigbee hub ZHUB-W-MS?

  The ZHUB-W-MS is a more affordable Zigbee-only coordinator for a classic Tuya/Smart Life home. The MZHUB-MS adds Thread and Matter and bridges devices into Apple Home, Google, Alexa and SmartThings from a single gateway — the choice when you want cross-platform compatibility and a future-proof investment.
• How many devices does it support and what is the range?

  It supports up to 128 Zigbee and Thread sub-devices with a range of over 200 m in open areas. For a two-storey house or a yard on the edge of Chișinău a single gateway usually covers everything; in buildings with many walls the effective range drops, but mains-powered Zigbee devices extend the mesh.
• Does it work if the internet drops?

  Yes. Zigbee and Thread devices communicate locally through the gateway, so scenes and basic commands keep working even when Wi-Fi or the internet goes down. Traffic is TLS-encrypted and data is stored locally. Remote control and cloud voice assistants need the internet, but local automations stay active.
• How does it connect to the home network?

  By an Ethernet RJ45 cable straight into the router rather than over Wi-Fi — which is why the link is stable even in a building crowded with neighbours' networks. Power is USB Type-C at 5V/1A, and the Ethernet and Type-C cables are included in the box along with the gateway and manual.
• Do I lose Tuya features when I switch to Matter?

  Not the basics: on/off, dimming, colour and sensors all pass through Matter. But Matter exposes devices as generic types, so special features (certain RGB effects, native Tuya scenes) stay in the Smart Life/MOES app only. Our advice is to keep the native app as well for those functions.
