Frequently asked questions

• Will it work without a neutral wire in the back box?

  No. The -LN suffix means Line+Neutral: this model mandatorily needs line and neutral in the box. Without a neutral it will not start at all — its electronics are powered from the neutral, not through the bulb. If only line reaches your wall, choose the neutral-optional variant in the same Star Ring series; for a renovation with the neutral already pulled, -LN is the right pick.
• Why does the neutral version switch LEDs better?

  Because the electronics take their own permanent supply from the neutral instead of leeching current through the bulb filament as no-neutral wiring does. That residual current is what causes flicker, off-state glow and buzz on low-wattage LEDs. With a neutral at the terminal the bulbs go fully off when switched off and turn on cleanly.
• Which Zigbee hub do I need to use it?

  The official page explicitly requires a ZigBee gateway, bought separately. The simplest for a Moes setup is a Zigbee/Tuya hub, after which the switch appears in the Tuya/Smart Life app; as a standard Zigbee 3.0 device it also pairs into a SmartThings hub. Without a gateway there is no remote control or scenes.
• Can I add it to Alexa, Google or Apple Home?

  Through a hub, yes for Alexa and Google Home: voice control runs via the Tuya/Smart Life account once the switch is linked to the gateway. Apple Home is not natively supported; if HomeKit matters, expose the device through a Matter bridge from a hub that allows it. Every path goes through the gateway, never straight from the key.
• What load and LED power does it carry?

  The relay per gang switches up to 10A at AC100-240V 50/60Hz, and the module's own draw stays under 2W. For ordinary home lighting — spots, panels and LED strips, chandeliers — this current is plenty. Put a correctly rated breaker ahead of the line per your installation's rules.
• Does it support a 3-way setup?

  Yes. The switch supports a 3-way configuration through the MOES app: two points control the same light via an in-app association rather than classic cross wiring. The feature requires both devices to be already linked to the same Zigbee/Tuya gateway.
• How does it differ from the grey variant?

  The specs are identical — 1 gang, neutral required, 10A relay, Zigbee 3.0 and the same Star Ring halo. Only the glass face colour differs: this version is white (ZS-SR-EU1-LN-WH-MS), and the grey twin is ZS-SR-EU1-LN-GY-MS. White suits light walls and white switch frames.
• Will the light still work if the internet goes down?

  Yes. The mechanical key switches the line directly in any case, regardless of the network, and the Zigbee commands between the switch and the gateway travel locally. The internet is only needed for remote access and cloud voice assistants; wall control and local scenes stay available offline.
