• Does it really work without a neutral wire in the box?

  Yes — ZBMINIL2-E runs in no-neutral mode and wires on two conductors: the incoming live and the live going up to the fitting. That covers rooms in older buildings where only two wires reach the switch box. If a neutral does happen to be present, this model simply does not use it.
• How does it differ from the ZBMINIL2 module?

  ZBMINIL2 is a small faceplate-less module that hides in the box behind your existing mechanical key and keeps it. ZBMINIL2-E is a complete switch with its own 86 × 86 mm frame and button, replacing the old key directly. Electrically both run with no neutral; the choice is about the wall's look and the room left in the box.
• Which Zigbee hub does it need?

  A Zigbee 3.0 coordinator. Sonoff recommends the ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro and iHost; the ZBDongle-P and ZBDongle-E dongles also work — and through them the switch runs in Home Assistant with ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT. Once paired, button control is local; the internet is only needed for the eWeLink cloud and voice assistants.
• Is it a Zigbee network router, like some other Sonoff modules?

  No. ZBMINIL2-E is a Zigbee end device — it does not relay traffic for neighbouring nodes and has no Turbo mode. A stable link wants a coordinator within good range, or mains-powered router nodes (plugs, bulbs, modules with neutral) between it and the gateway. If the signal is weak, add such a router along the path, not another end device.
• Why does the LED bulb glimmer faintly when the light is off?

  On a no-neutral circuit a tiny current passes through the load even when off, and some LED bulbs answer with a faint glimmer. The module specifies a 3 W minimum load and factory anti-flicker; an external anti-flicker module is neither needed nor supported. The fix is a compatible LED bulb or a small added load on the line.
• How do I pair it, and what load does it take?

  Pairing: hold the button for five seconds or run five quick ON→OFF cycles and the module enters pairing for three minutes. The load is sized for lighting: 6 A resistive, up to 1440 W, LED 150 W at 100 V and 300 W at 240 V. The manual asks for a 6 A MCB or RCBO upstream and 16–14 AWG copper wiring.
• Can I control it with Apple Home or by voice?

  By voice, yes: Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT, SmartThings and Alice work through the eWeLink cloud once the Sonoff gateway is linked to the account. Apple Home is reached only via a Matter bridge — Zigbee does not appear natively in HomeKit. For fully local control, Home Assistant through ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT remains the route.
