• How does the mmWave radar differ from a PIR sensor?

  The 10 GHz millimetre-wave radar senses real human presence — including breathing and small movements — across more than 100° and up to 6 m, not just a sudden motion. Unlike a PIR, it does not lose a person sitting still, so the light does not switch off while you stand quietly in the hallway or sit at a desk.
• Does it work without a neutral wire?

  Yes. The SVL01-Z accepts both wiring schemes — with neutral and with no neutral — so it fits the back-box of an older home where only live and the lamp line reach the switch. On the no-neutral scheme a single very low-power LED may flicker slightly; a slightly larger load removes it.
• Which gateway / hub does it need?

  As a Zigbee 3.0 device it needs a Tuya/Zigbee gateway, bought separately — without one the switch works only manually, like an ordinary key. Through the gateway it joins the Tuya/Smart Life app and SmartThings and answers Amazon Alexa and Google Home. If you do not have a hub yet, we can recommend a suitable one.
• Can I adjust how long the light stays on?

  Yes. The hold time after the zone is empty is set in the Tuya/Smart Life app, as is the radar's high/low sensitivity. On 'low' sensitivity you reduce the chance the light triggers off someone passing in the corridor next door or behind a thin partition.
• How much power does it switch and which bulbs does it support?

  The relay is rated 10 A and switches up to 300 W per gang at 110–240 V — ample for any fixture in a hallway, bedroom or kitchen. It is an on/off switch, not a dimmer, so it does not adjust brightness; for dimming there are the Star Ring dimmers in the Moes range.
• Which ecosystems and voice assistants does it work with?

  Through a Tuya/Zigbee gateway the switch joins the Tuya/Smart Life app and SmartThings and answers voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Home, with scene support. The maker does not confirm Apple Home or Yandex Alice on this version, so we do not promise them.
• Can I install it myself or do I need an electrician?

  Installation means working inside the wall back-box, with 110–240 V and connecting live and the load line, so it is a job for an electrician — especially on the no-neutral scheme. The 86 × 86 × 38.8 mm size suits a standard EU/UK box, but the replacement itself should be done by a professional.
