• What does four-level haptic feedback mean?

  On every press the panel answers with a short buzz you feel in your finger — confirmation that you commanded the zone, useful in the dark. The strength is set in the app across four levels: from a firm pulse to a barely there one for a bedroom. It is a signature feature of the Star Feather series.
• Does it need a separate hub?

  Yes. The SFL02-Z is a Zigbee 3.0 device and does not pair with a phone on its own — it needs a Zigbee gateway in the house: a Moes/Tuya hub, a Smart Life gateway or a generic Zigbee 3.0 coordinator. Without a hub it will not pair and cannot be controlled from the app. If you have none, one can be added to the same order.
• Is the neutral wire mandatory?

  Yes. Unlike switches with a no-neutral mode, the neutral-wire Star Feather strictly needs a neutral in the box — without it the device does not start at all. Check the box before ordering; in older stock with only line and return you will need to pull a neutral wire.
• How many zones, and what load does each take?

  It has two zones (two keys) on one frame, so it commands two separate circuits — say the ceiling light and the wall sconce. Each zone switches up to 10 A, 10 A total, on a 90–250 V AC supply. It is built for lighting; heating appliances such as a water heater do not belong here.
• What is the 2-in-1 light + scene mode?

  Each key can run in Light Mode, where it physically cuts the circuit like a normal switch, or in Scene Mode, where it no longer switches the load but sends a Zigbee scene command to other devices. The two modes do not run at once on the same key — pick each zone's role in the app.
• How does the grey differ from the white version?

  Electrically and functionally they are identical — the same two zones, 10 A, four-level haptic feedback, AG matte skin-feel glass. Only the frame colour differs: grey (ZS-SF-EU2-GY-MS, this one) for darker walls or dark accents, white (ZS-SF-EU2-WH-MS) for light ones. Choose by the room's finish.
• Does it work with voice assistants?

  Through the Tuya / Smart Life ecosystem the switch reaches Alexa, Google Home and SmartThings, and on, off and scene commands go through any of them. Day-to-day, though, control is the touch on the panel, which works locally regardless of the internet as long as the Zigbee hub is powered.
• Does the backlight disturb a bedroom at night?

  No. The Star Feather has a soft backlight meant as a marker to find the zone in the dark, not a light source — it marks the key without flooding the room. Together with the haptic feedback you locate and press the right zone without turning on the ceiling light or your phone.
