• How does the key light help at night?

  The SFL01-Z lights a soft backlight on the key itself which, in the maker's words, "makes it easy to locate at night without being intrusive." You see where to press in a dark bedroom without groping the wall and without switching on a bright light that chases sleep away.
• Does the SFL01-Z need a separate hub?

  Yes. As a ZigBee device it does not pair with a phone on its own — it needs a ZigBee gateway (a MOES/Tuya hub), bought separately. The official page states plainly: "ZigBee gateway is required for operation." If you have no hub, one can be added to the same order.
• Is a neutral wire mandatory?

  Yes. The SFL01-Z is a wired switch that drives a real load, and the Star Feather "With Neutral Wire" version requires a neutral in the box. In older stock with only line and return you must pull a neutral before mounting; there is no no-neutral mode on this model.
• Why one gang, and what does it control?

  The 1-gang version has a single key for one circuit — ideal for a bedroom ceiling light or one room's lighting. It switches up to 10 A resistive per gang and is meant for lighting. For a wall that gathers several lights, the same Star Feather series offers 2-, 3- and 4-gang versions.
• How does it feel, and can the response be tuned?

  The AG matte glass has a skin-soft feel, leaves no fingerprints and triggers from any angle, not one fixed point. Each press answers with a haptic vibration adjustable across four levels — from a barely-felt pulse to a firm confirmation. The white minimalist design has no needless frames.
• Which assistants and apps does it work with?

  Moes is a Tuya brand, so the switch joins the Tuya / Smart Life app and SmartThings. Alexa voice commands turn the light on and off, and reviews on the official page confirm it works with Alexa. Control also stays physical — from the key — or from the app.
• What happens to the light if the hub or internet fails?

  The key stays an ordinary switch, so the light turns on and off manually regardless. The ZigBee mesh runs locally, without internet; only remote access and voice commands wait for the connection to return. If the gateway itself fails, automations pause until it restarts.
