• Sonoff also sells a Matter shutter panel — which one should I pick?

  The Orb-RBS twin (MINI-RBS-E) runs Matter over Wi-Fi and needs no hub — the natural pick for homes built around Apple Home or Google Home. The Orb-ZBRBS is the Zigbee 3.0 version: it requires a coordinator, but scenes execute locally on the hub, the panel reinforces the mesh and keeps your Wi-Fi router unloaded. Body, key and 1 A relay are identical.
• I am renovating right now — what should the electrician rough in?

  An 86-Type or European round Ø60 box at every shuttered window, a mandatory neutral in the box, 18–14 AWG copper conductors (about 0.8–2 mm²) and a dedicated 1 A MCB/RCBO upstream. The body sinks 34 mm into the wall, so a deep box also leaves room for the motor's earth connector.
• Which hub do I need, and does the key work without one?

  The panel pairs with the ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro and iHost; for self-hosted setups the ZBDongle-P/-E coordinators work too. The up/down key on the body drives the motor like a classic switch even before the network is set up — the hub unlocks the app, percentages, schedules and scenes.
• Will the shutters show up in Apple Home with this panel?

  Not directly — the Orb-ZBRBS is a Zigbee device, not a Matter one. However, the NSPanel Pro, iHost and ZBBridge-U can act as a Matter bridge and expose Zigbee devices to Apple Home and other Matter ecosystems. For the direct, bridge-free route there is the Wi-Fi twin Orb-RBS.
• Can the panel share a row with other switches of the series?

  Yes — Orb 2- and 3-gang frames (sold separately) mount the Orb-ZBRBS in one block with Fusion-series switches and sockets, vertically or horizontally. By the balcony door, the light and the shutter end up in a single frame.
• I have three shuttered windows — is one panel enough?

  No: the L out1/L out2 outputs drive a single motor of up to 1 A, so every drive gets its own panel. Synchronous movement is built in the hub — a scene or group sends the command to all panels at once, while each window stays individually controllable.
• Do the shutters keep working if the internet goes down?

  Yes — the logic lives in the hub, not in the cloud: automations and schedules carry on inside the local network, and the wall key needs no network at all. Until the connection returns you only lose remote control from outside the home.
