• Which motors can Motor mode drive?

  Only four-wire 100–240 V AC tubular motors with separate forward and reverse lines — the usual format for roller shutter, curtain, awning and screen drives. Rated load is 10–240 W (up to 1 A). Two-wire and DC drives are not supported.
• How do I unlock percentage positioning?

  Run Motor Stroke Calibration in the Motor mode settings: the module walks the drive from its start point to the end of travel and back by itself. The percentage slider and exact positions in scenes then appear in eWeLink. Without calibration you only get open/stop/close.
• How does the Lite differ from the regular DUALR3?

  The Lite drops per-channel power metering and Meter mode — volts, amps and kilowatt-hours are only measured by the full DUALR3. Switch and Motor modes, the 10 A per-channel rating and wall-switch support are identical. If you do not need energy stats, the Lite does the job for less.
• Can it work as a plain dual relay for two lighting circuits?

  Yes — in Switch mode the channels are fully independent, each with its own schedules, timers and scenes. Existing switches connect to S1/S2: push-buttons use Pulse mode, rockers use Edge, SPDT two-way circuits or dry-contact sensors use Following.
• What does the wiring need before installation?

  Both live and neutral at the mounting point — a live-only loop, as used by no-neutral switches, will not work. Upstream the manufacturer requires a 15 A MCB or RCBO. The cable to the wall switch on S1/S2 may run up to 30 m, and S1/S2 must be fed only from the module's own terminals.
• Can it run a garage roller shutter?

  Yes, if the door is a roller shutter with a four-wire AC tubular motor up to 240 W: the manufacturer lists shutter doors among Motor mode applications. Sectional door openers with their own control unit hook up differently — via a dry contact, which is a job for the MINI-D module.
• Where does it physically go — wall box or distribution board?

  Both are standard options: the 54×49×24 mm case fits a regular wall box behind the switch, and the removable bracket from the box clips it onto a DIN rail in the board. Keep the module's working range in mind: −10 to +40 °C.
• Can I add a wireless button for the curtains?

  Yes: the SONOFF R5 scene controller links to the module as an eWeLink-Remote sub-device with no hub — its presses map to open, stop and close through eWeLink scenes. Handy when the curtain switch is hidden behind furniture and you want control from the bed.
