• How is this Zigbee Duo different from the Matter MINI-2GS?

  The power stage is identical: two 10 A channels, 16 A combined. The radio differs — the MINI-2GS joins Wi-Fi and Matter platforms directly, while the MINI-ZB2GS lives on a Zigbee network behind a coordinator, adding no Wi-Fi clients and reinforcing the mesh. One more detail: SPDT switches are listed for the Matter version only; this one takes rockers and push buttons.
• Which Zigbee hub does it need?

  A Zigbee 3.0 compatible gateway. Sonoff recommends the ZBBridge-P, ZBBridge-U, NSPanel Pro and iHost; the ZBDongle-P/E, Dongle-M, PMG24 and LMG21 dongles also work — and through them the module officially runs in Home Assistant (ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT). Philips Hue and FritzBox are explicitly ruled out. Once paired, control stays local; the internet is only needed for the eWeLink cloud and voice assistants.
• What does the Turbo mode in eWeLink actually do?

  It is a Pilot Features option that raises the Zigbee radio's signal strength. The module already works as a network router around the clock, relaying packets for neighbouring devices; switch Turbo on when a thick wall or a long corridor sits between it and a distant sensor.
• Can I drive a curtain or shutter motor from the two channels?

  The manufacturer advises against it: the MINI-ZB2GS has no channel interlock, travel calibration or percentage control. For motors Sonoff explicitly points to the MINI-ZBRBS module, built for drives with built-in limit switches. The Duo's channels are meant for lighting and simple resistive loads.
• Which wall switches work, and how do I change the switch type?

  Rocker (latching) and push-button (momentary) switches are supported; rocker is the factory default. Change the type with three short presses of the case button — the LED blinks three times. Detach Mode, which turns a key into a scene trigger, is available in eWeLink as well as ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT. Neutral and ground must never be wired to S1/S2.
• Is a neutral wire in the wall box mandatory?

  Yes — this is the with-neutral version: live, neutral and both load lines land on the terminals. In older buildings the neutral often never reaches the switch box, so check before buying. If there is none and pulling one is unrealistic, Sonoff makes the MINI-ZB2GS-L, which runs without a neutral.
• What happens to the lights after a power outage?

  Whatever you configure: eWeLink lets you set the power-on state — on, off, last state or flip — plus a start-up delay. On an unstable grid this earns its keep: after a night-time outage the ceiling lights do not all blaze at once, and the hub's scenes carry on as before.
