• Why 20A rather than an ordinary 10A smart relay?

  An electric heater or AC unit pulls 12-16A for hours, and a 10A relay overheats and fails at such currents. The ZS-SR-EUB is rated for 20A and 4000W — exactly the load class an ordinary smart switch cannot take. For an appliance above 4000W or 20A, though, use a contactor rather than this module.
• What is double-pole switching and why does it matter?

  The module breaks live and neutral at the same time, not just one wire. When you switch it off or a fault occurs, the high-power appliance is fully isolated from the mains — the maker calls this double insulation and dual-cutoff protection. For a permanently connected heater, a truly dead line is safer when someone works on it.
• What does the built-in energy meter show?

  It logs the line's consumption in real time, and in the Tuya / Smart Life app you see how many kilowatt-hours the heater or AC used. Combined with off-peak scheduling, Moes claims savings of up to 30%. The figures are indicative for monitoring usage, not a billing-grade fiscal meter.
• Which Zigbee hub does it need?

  The module is a Zigbee 3.0 device and needs a separate Zigbee/Tuya gateway, which is not included — the maker's page says plainly 'please purchase separately'. Through the gateway it reaches the Tuya / Smart Life app, Alexa and Google Home, and as a Tuya Zigbee device it works in compatible SmartThings hubs. At CasaSmart we help you pick the right gateway.
• Can I install it myself?

  It is not recommended. It mounts inside the box on a 20A high-power line, with live and neutral, and mistakes at such a load are dangerous. The breaker in the board protecting the line must not exceed 20A, or it no longer protects the switch itself. The install is a job for a licensed electrician.
• Does it need a neutral wire?

  Yes. The energy meter and the Zigbee radio need continuous power, and double-pole switching needs the neutral in the box too, not just live. Before ordering, check that both live and neutral reach the mounting point. If they do not, ask us and we will find a suitable solution.
• Does it work if the internet goes down?

  Voice control and remote access run through the gateway and the Tuya cloud, so they need the internet. Schedules stored in the gateway and local automations keep running, and the lit ring and line status stay visible. For a home near Chișinău with shaky internet, a good gateway makes the difference.
