• Can I read the values without the app?

  Yes — that is the point of this model: the 43 × 33 mm LCD permanently shows power, current, voltage and accumulated kWh. eWeLink keeps the 6-month hourly history with Excel export, protection thresholds and scenes; live numbers are on the device itself.
• How does overload protection work and what are the defaults?

  You set maximum and minimum limits for power, voltage and current in the app; outside the window the relay cuts the line by itself. Protection ships enabled: 4000 W on power and 17 A on current.
• Will it handle a water heater or an electric heater?

  Yes, within 16 A (about 3.5 kW at 230 V): a typical 1.5–2.5 kW boiler and most heaters fit with margin. For loads closer to 20 A there is the POWR320D, and the POWR3 for 25 A.
• What is the wiring layout and which breaker goes upstream?

  Under the cover there are four terminals: L-in, L-out and two neutrals — a neutral wire is mandatory. The manufacturer requires an external breaker of C20 maximum in the supply line; installation belongs to an electrician.
• What is the relay's Bluetooth for?

  First-time setup only: on power-up the relay enters Bluetooth pairing mode by itself and a phone running eWeLink finds it within seconds. The window lasts 3 minutes; re-enter it by holding the button for about 5 seconds. Your Wi-Fi must be 2.4 GHz.
• Can I reset the kWh counter on the screen?

  Yes — eWeLink settings include Reset Consumption, which zeroes the on-screen counter. Without it the value runs up to 9999 kWh and then rolls over automatically; the hourly history in the app stays intact.
• How is the Elite different from the POW Origin (POWR316)?

  The Origin has the same 16 A and the same metering but no LCD — data lives only in the app. The Elite is 3.5 mm thicker (31 vs 27.5 mm), heavier (120 g vs 100 g) and shows the numbers right at the board.
