• What do I give up choosing the Origin over the POW Elite?

  Only the LCD screen and the 20 A option. The measuring core is identical — live readings, six months of hourly history, protection thresholds, Excel export — you just read the numbers in the eWeLink app instead of on the case.
• How far back do the statistics go and how do I get them out?

  eWeLink shows yesterday's, today's and the current month's consumption, and hourly history is kept for six months. The archive exports to an Excel (.xlsx) file straight from the phone — useful for checking against your bill.
• Will it notify me when consumption passes a set limit?

  Yes. You set daily and monthly kWh goals in eWeLink and get a push when they are reached. Separate alerts cover power, current or voltage threshold breaches, plus an offline warning if the module drops off the network for more than five minutes.
• Can it run a boiler on a schedule and switch off by itself?

  Yes: schedules, countdown timer, loop timer and an inching mode that turns the load off (or on) after a set interval from 0.5 s up to 59 min 59.5 s. After a power cut the relay returns to your chosen state: on, off or last state.
• Does it work with Home Assistant?

  Yes, the manufacturer officially lists Home Assistant integration through the eWeLink add-on — the relay and its readings appear in the system next to the other devices on your account.
• Why this instead of a metering smart plug?

  The POW Origin installs permanently — on a DIN rail in the panel or into the boiler's line, which never goes through a plug at all. Its terminals take up to 4 mm² wire at a continuous 16 A, plus protection thresholds that cut the line on their own.
• Which voice assistants are supported, and what is the Alexa Energy Dashboard?

  Voice control runs through Alexa and Google Assistant, with SmartThings and Yandex Alice also listed among platforms. In the Alexa Energy Dashboard the POW Origin's consumption shows on the smart home's shared energy panel.
• Can I control it from a computer or through IFTTT?

  Yes, though both options — eWeLink Web and IFTTT — sit in the eWeLink Advanced subscription per the manufacturer. The core functions, including statistics, thresholds and schedules, stay in the free app.
