• Why pick the GL-C-601P over a mini controller?

  For the high current: the GL-C-601P carries 10 A per channel and 15 A total, while the mini versions stop at 6 A (GL-C-002P) or 3 A per channel (GL-C-006P Mini). On long RGBCCT runs in a large room, that headroom keeps white clean and brightness even to the end, without splitting the strip into separately powered segments.
• Which Zigbee hub does it need?

  It needs a Zigbee 3.0 gateway — without one there is no smart control. As a universal Zigbee 3.0 device, any coordinator picks it up: a SmartThings Hub, a Home Assistant box with a ZBDongle dongle, or the Tuya Zigbee hub from our catalogue (id 15). It is not a Wi-Fi controller that joins your router on its own.
• How many metres of strip can I connect?

  It depends on the strip's draw and the voltage, not on a fixed length. Compute W/m × metres ÷ voltage and stay under 10 A per channel or 15 A total. At 24 V a typical ~14 W/m RGBCCT strip gives over 25 m per controller; at 5 V keep runs short, since wire losses are much higher.
• Does it work with addressable strips (WS2812 pixels)?

  No. The GL-C-601P switches analog common-anode PWM strips where the whole strip changes colour at once — that is for continuous architectural lighting. For addressable pixel strips (WS2811/WS2812) with chasing effects across individual LEDs you need an SPI controller, such as the GL-SPI-206P in the Gledopto range.
• What is the 20 A fuse and why does it matter?

  It is a pluggable fuse on the output: if you accidentally short the terminals during install, the fuse blows instead of the controller, and you replace it without soldering. The 20 A rating is a protective ceiling on the sum, above the nominal 15 A total — it does not mean one channel may exceed 10 A.
• Can I use an ordinary wall switch?

  Yes. The Push Switch terminal accepts a classic wall button, so the light turns on and off by hand even when the phone is dead or the internet drops. Control stays local through the Zigbee hub, and the physical switch complements app and scene control.
• Can it be installed outdoors or in a bathroom?

  Not without a sealed enclosure. The controller is IP20 with a flame-retardant PC body meant for indoor use only — dust and moisture will kill it. For a covered terrace or a bathroom perimeter, mount it in a sealed box outside the wet zone and run out only the LED strip with suitable protection.
