• What strip type is the Mini for?

  The GL-C-006P Mini has two WW/CW channels: it drives dual tunable-white strips (warm-to-cool, 2700–6500 K) and single-colour strips. For colour RGB or RGBCCT strips it is the wrong model — there you pick a 5-in-1 such as the GL-C-002P or GL-C-301P. The Mini is purpose-built for white light on one discreet run.
• Does it need a Zigbee hub?

  Yes. The GL-C-006P Mini is a Zigbee 3.0 Pro device and does not work as a smart device without a Zigbee 3.0 gateway — alone it does nothing. Being universal Zigbee, it works with any Zigbee 3.0 coordinator: a Tuya Zigbee hub (we stock one), a SmartThings controller, or a Home Assistant setup with a Zigbee coordinator. There is also a 2.4G RF channel for an optional remote.
• How small is it, and where can I hide it?

  It is the ultra-thin version in Gledopto's range, their smallest Zigbee controller, with a very flat body (weight just 0.04 kg). It fits into an aluminium profile channel, behind a skirting board or in a back-box — where a standard controller of about 89 mm will not go. The official Mini page does not publish exact mm dimensions, only the weight.
• How much strip power does it handle?

  It has 3 A per channel and 5 A total, which is up to 168 W at 24 V (less at 12 V or 5 V). The total current is the controller's ceiling, not the supply's: size the power supply separately for the strip length and run loss. On longer 5 V strips, inject power at the far end too so the colour does not drop off at the end.
• Will the strip flicker if I film it on a phone?

  The dimming frequency is adjustable between 600 and 8000 Hz. At the low setting a camera may catch flicker; raise the frequency toward 8000 Hz and the strip looks steady in front of a phone or a video camera. This helps especially for corners where content is filmed often.
• Can I use a remote without a gateway?

  The Mini also has a 2.4G RF radio compatible with MiLight/MiBoxer, so an optional RF remote can control it directly. But for scenes, automations and phone control you still need the Zigbee 3.0 gateway — the RF remote only covers basic manual control, not home integration.
• Can it be mounted outdoors?

  No. It is rated IP20 and works from -20 to +40 °C, so it is an indoor controller with no protection against water or dust. For a covered terrace keep it in a closed junction box, away from direct moisture. Wiring it to the strip needs no electrician — it runs off the low-voltage supply.
