• What does "5-in-1" mean on this controller?

  It means a single GL-C-301P drives five strip types: single colour, CCT (tunable white), RGB, RGBW and RGBCCT, at 12 or 24 V. You do not pick a different controller per strip at order time — one model covers the whole range, from warm white under furniture to a saturated RGBCCT run in the living room.
• How is Zigbee Pro+ better than the Pro versions?

  Pro+ is Gledopto's newest Zigbee radio generation and brings better range and link stability than the older Pro modules. It shows most in larger homes, where a strip at the end of a hallway or on a terrace sat at the edge of the mesh — Pro+ holds the link more reliably at those points far from the hub.
• Do I need a Zigbee hub for the GL-C-301P?

  Yes, it is mandatory. The GL-C-301P is a Zigbee device and needs a Zigbee 3.0 gateway/hub to be added and controlled — without one it appears in no app. Being universal Zigbee 3.0, it works with any Zigbee 3.0 hub; anyone starting from scratch can use a Tuya Zigbee gateway as an entry point.
• Which systems does it work with — Home Assistant, SmartThings?

  Being universal Zigbee 3.0, it pairs with any Zigbee 3.0 gateway. Confirmed: Home Assistant via a coordinator (ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT) and SmartThings. It is not tied to a single brand app, so the choice of hub is yours. Optionally, a 2.4G RF Gledopto remote allows direct adjustment without a phone.
• How much strip power does it handle, at 12 or 24 V?

  The controller runs at 12 or 24 V and switches 6 A per channel, up to 10 A total — the limit across all channels together, not per channel. At 24 V that means a markedly longer strip than at 12 V for the same current. The controller's voltage must match that of the strip and the power supply.
• How small is it, and where does it mount?

  The body measures 42 × 38 × 17 mm — hence "Ultra-mini" — and fits inside an aluminium profile, behind a plasterboard cornice or in a ceiling void where a standard controller no longer fits. It has a white flame-retardant PC body and an IP20 rating, so it is meant for indoor use only.
• Can I use the GL-C-301P outdoors or in a bathroom?

  Not without extra protection. The IP20 rating offers no water or dust protection, so the module should not be mounted directly outdoors or in a bathroom. For a terrace or a wet area, place it in a separate sealed enclosure and keep only the LED strip itself (with its own IP rating) in the exposed zone.
