Home Assistant is the integration layer that ties your devices together — whatever the brand — into one app and one set of automations. CasaSmart installs Home Assistant locally, on dedicated hardware (Home Assistant Green, Yellow or a mini-PC) rather than a cloud account, so the key automations can keep running even when the internet drops.
We set up the Zigbee coordinator (for example SMLight or a Sonoff dongle), add Matter and Wi-Fi devices (Shelly, Sonoff, Aqara), and connect cameras, climate and access control where possible. We build clean dashboards for phone, tablet and wall panel, write the automations in YAML (versioned and documented), and enable backups plus remote access through Nabu Casa.
You end up with a reproducible system: if a device fails or you want to expand, everything is documented and easy for the same team to continue.
