On a white wall the Star Ring glass plate nearly disappears — only the lit ring remains, showing the level and giving a quiet marker in the dark. A touch turns the light off or on, a slide raises brightness smoothly, with no abrupt steps.<br><br>The single-gang dimmer drives one lighting line: incandescent up to 600 W or dimmable LED/CFL up to 200 W at 220 V (300 W / 100 W at 110 V), on 90–250 V AC, 50/60 Hz. The Zigbee 3.0 radio on 2.4 GHz needs a Tuya ZigBee gateway (sold separately); without one it cannot connect. The Tuya / Smart Life app sets scenes, schedules and multi-control, while power-off memory restores the last level. The box needs live and neutral; the bulb must be dimmable.

Does the Star Ring dimmer need a hub?
Yes. It is a Zigbee 3.0 device with no Wi-Fi of its own, so it needs a Tuya ZigBee gateway bought separately. Without a hub it cannot be paired in the Tuya / Smart Life app and cannot be controlled remotely or by voice.Is a neutral wire required in the box?
Yes, the dimmer needs live and neutral — it does not work on a no-neutral scheme. In older Moldovan buildings the neutral does not always reach the switch; check the wall box before ordering or ask your electrician to confirm.Which bulbs and what wattage does it support?
Officially at 220 V: incandescent up to 600 W or dimmable LED and CFL up to 200 W (at 110 V — 300 W and 100 W). The bulb must be marked dimmable; a plain on/off LED will flicker or fail to respond.Does it work on Moldova's 230 V mains?
