• Can I use the dimmer without a hub?

  No. The Star Ring is a Zigbee 3.0 device with no Wi-Fi radio of its own, so it needs a Tuya Zigbee gateway that bridges the 2.4 GHz band to the app and the internet. Without a gateway it cannot pair and cannot be controlled remotely or by voice.
• Does the switch box need a neutral wire?

  Yes. This version needs both live and neutral in the switch box. In older Moldovan buildings neutral does not always reach the switch, so check for it before buying; if it is missing, an electrician will need to run an extra conductor.
• Which bulbs and what wattage does it support?

  TRIAC dimming only works with a dimmable load: LED and CFL marked dimmable up to 200 W and incandescent or halogen up to 600 W at 220 V (100 W and 300 W at 110 V). A non-dimmable LED bulb will flicker or stay at full regardless of the dimmer.
• Which voice assistants and ecosystems does it work with?

  Through a Tuya gateway the controller responds to Alexa and Google Home and is managed from the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app. Being Zigbee 3.0, it can also pair with a SmartThings hub. Apple Home is not natively supported — it is a Tuya Zigbee device, not Matter.
• How do I adjust the light from the panel itself?

  A short press of the button switches the light on and off, and holding it walks the brightness up or down. The Star Ring stays softly lit and shows the current level, handy in the dark; the exact level and scenes can also be set in the Tuya app.
• How does the grey version differ from the white one?

  Only by the glass finish: graphite-grey suits metal frames and cool-toned walls, while the white version fits lighter interiors. The electronics, power, protocol and features are identical — choose by the frame colour in your home.
• What happens if the internet goes down?

  Panel commands and automations that run in the Tuya Zigbee hub stay local and work without internet — the light switches and dims as usual. The internet is only needed for remote access and voice commands through Alexa or Google Home.
