• What exactly does the DUALR3 measure and where do I see the statistics?

  Per channel, separately: current, voltage, and active, reactive and apparent power in real time, plus accumulated kWh. The statistics and consumption history live in the eWeLink app on the device screen.
• What is Meter mode for?

  In this mode the contacts stay permanently closed: the load cannot be switched off from the app or a wall switch — the module works purely as a meter. Handy for a fridge or a boiler where an accidental cut-off is unacceptable.
• How does the overload protection work?

  You set thresholds per channel: minimum and maximum voltage, maximum current, minimum and maximum power. When a limit is crossed, the relay trips that channel by itself and sends a push notification in eWeLink.
• How is the DUALR3 different from the DUALR3 Lite?

  The Lite keeps switch and motor modes but drops everything measurement-related: power metering, overload protection, Meter mode, stroke calibration and the open-percentage display. For per-channel statistics you need the DUALR3.
• Which wires must be present at the installation point?

  Live and neutral are mandatory, plus the two load lines on L1/L2. The S1/S2 inputs take your existing wall switches — six types are supported, including two-way SPDT changeover switches.
• Can I mount the module in a distribution board?

  Yes, a removable DIN-rail clip comes in the box, so the module sits neatly next to the breakers. Keep in mind a metal enclosure weakens Wi-Fi — check the signal level before the final installation.
• Do I keep control if the internet goes down?

  Yes: the wall switches always work, and on the same network as the router eWeLink's LAN mode takes over. The cloud is only needed for remote access, voice assistants and push notifications.
• What happens after a power outage?

  The behaviour is set per channel: turn on, stay off, or restore the last state. For a water heater most people pick "last state" so the schedules stay on track.
