• What do I give up by picking the 4CHR3 over the 4CHPROR3?

  The 433 MHz remote, dry contacts and 9–23 V DC input are exclusive to the 4CHPROR3. The 4CHR3 runs on 100–240 V AC only and its outputs feed mains to the load. Channel count and working modes are identical.
• How does it mount in a switchboard?

  The 4CHR3 has its own clips for a standard DIN rail — no extra bracket needed. The SONOFF DR tray from our catalogue is meant for the compact MINI modules, not the 4CH series. On the rail the case takes 145 mm, about eight modules of width.
• Can each channel run its own schedule?

  Yes. In eWeLink each of the four channels is configured independently: the pump in the morning and evening, the lights from sunset, the compressor socket on weekdays only. Channels join scenes both individually and as a group.
• What are inching and interlock modes for?

  Inching powers a channel for 0.5–3600 s and switches it off by itself — that is how gate openers expecting a short pulse are wired. Interlock keeps only one channel in a group active, so a reversible motor never gets both directions at once. Both are enabled in the app, no jumpers.
• Will it run a borehole pump and a boiler at the same time?

  Each channel takes 10 A / 2200 W, but the whole module is capped at 16 A / 3500 W — a pump with a high inrush current plus a boiler is already at the limit. Drive heavy or three-phase loads through a contactor coil rather than switching the power line directly.
• Can it go outdoors or in an unheated shed?

  The case has no declared IP rating, so it belongs inside a switchboard or a sealed box. The working range is −10 to +40 °C: a normal Moldovan winter is fine in an insulated box, but harder frosts fall outside the range — move the board somewhere tempered.
• Does it need a hub, and what happens if the internet drops?

  No hub — the module joins 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi on its own. If the internet drops, the four buttons on the case still give manual control of every channel; the app and voice commands return with the connection.
• Will it show up in Apple Home?

  Not directly — the 4CHR3 is not a Matter device. The maker offers the eWeLink CUBE bridge (for example on the iHost hub), which exposes Sonoff Wi-Fi devices to Matter, and only then do the channels appear in Apple Home. Without the bridge you have eWeLink, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings and Yandex Alice.
