• Can hallway and bathroom lighting share one switch?

  Yes — that is the core scenario: the box takes line, neutral and two load wires, and each zone gets its own key, schedule and place in scenes. Wherever a double switch already stood, both lines usually meet in that point.
• Will it directly replace an old two-gang switch?

  Mechanically yes — 86 type format, an 86×86 mm plate with a 41.5 mm deep mechanism. Electrically one addition is needed: a neutral on the N terminal; in older buildings an electrician jumpers it over from the junction box.
• How much load does each key take?

  5 A per channel and 10 A for the panel: resistive loads up to 1100 W per zone, LED fixtures up to 300 W per gang at 220 V, inductive loads such as a fan up to 300 W. Heating appliances — towel rails, boilers — do not belong here.
• Why is the plate gray, and is there a white one?

  The 86 type of the SwitchMan M5 series ships in Dim Gray. White versions are the 80 (86×71 mm) and 120 formats, plus the M5 Matter edition in 86×86. If your interior calls for a white square, look at the Matter version.
• Does it work with Yandex Alice and other voice assistants?

  Yes. Through eWeLink account linking the maker officially lists Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, IFTTT and Alice — on and off commands go through any of them.
• What happens when the internet goes down?

  The keys stay ordinary mechanical switches, so the light always works, and a phone on the same Wi-Fi keeps controlling the panel over LAN. Only remote access and voice assistants wait for the connection to return.
• How do I add a second control point for a staircase?

  The SwitchMan R5 remote binds to the M5 as a sub-device through eWeLink scenes (eWeLink-Remote technology) and acts as a wireless two-way switch; the S-MATE2 transmitter is compatible too. No wall chasing required.
• Can the pantry light switch itself off?

  Yes — Inching mode turns the channel off automatically after a set interval; there is also a countdown timer and programmable on/off cycles.
