Many Zigbee enthusiasts prefer a Silicon Labs radio over a Texas Instruments one: the SLZB-06M puts that exact chip — the EFR32MG21 — into a slim 160 × 22 × 24 mm coordinator. It does not control a load; it is the bridge between the Zigbee mesh and the home server, the heart of a Home Assistant setup running Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA.

It connects over USB-C or Ethernet 100M with PoE 802.3af, and optoelectronic isolation keeps both cables plugged in at once; the USB/Ethernet mode switches from the web UI or the button. Its strong suit is coverage: a +20 dB on-board amplifier plus a +5 dB rotatable antenna. Note: the SLZB-06M is Zigbee 3.0 — for Thread/Matter pick the Mg24/Mg26/06p10 siblings.

What you need on your side and what we deliver.
Three typical automations we set up after the install.
For a network already built on deCONZ or ZHA with a Silicon Labs radio, the SLZB-06M on the EFR32MG21 integrates natively, without changing the philosophy of the whole setup.
Powered over PoE, the module sits by the switch in a three-room flat and serves the Zigbee network over Ethernet, away from the server's USB noise.
The +20 dB amplifier and the +5 dB rotatable antenna keep sensors at the far end of a house outside Chișinău connected to the mesh network.
